Yoshie Shuyama
Yoshie got involved with motor sports in 2000. She started competing in autocross events with a 1985 Toyota Corolla GT-S and became the first Japanese driver who to win the SCCA Solo II National Championship in 2002. She repeated the accomplishment in 2003.
Yoshie was the very first woman drivers to start drifting and had involved to organize one of the very first drift demo evens in the US and had a chance to see the real drifting from Japanese Professional Drifters in close distance.
Yoshie had started competing in drift events with a super charged 1986 Toyota Corolla and was the first female competed in Formula Drift series events in 2004. And she became the first female who to have qualified top 32 in the Formula Drift Championship in 2005.
Yoshie changed her competition machine with a turbocharged 1995 Nissan 240sx in 2006 and still continue drifting w/ the vehicle.
