Ryan started drifting in a 1990 ford mustang LX. He would go out at night and practice getting his car sideways pulling out of stop signs and in parking lots. On the internet he learned that drifting was an actual sport, so he sold his mustang to buy a better handling Nissan 240sx and started going to local events. Over the past couple of years, Ryan has done as many events as possible funding his own ride. For the 2008 season, Ryan is committed to drive a Pontiac Solstice GXP for Gardella Racing.
