I started drifting over 7 years ago with my friend Tony Angelo after he had found some internet videos of cars "drifting". We loved the look and feel of the cars sliding so we started teaching ourselves through trial and error. I kept building my car to make more and more horsepower so that I could race other cars in my town. I then learned how to control a car with over 400hp and knew that was what I wanted to do.

I then helped to run the first organized drifting events on the east coast. It gave me great practice time and helped me to develop more car control. As the months went by, more and more people were getting into drifting and everyone knew that it was going to be the next big thing. Shortly after I decided to pack my things and move to California hoping to find my spot in the professional drifting world. I ran in a couple small events in California and started to get recognized. Formula D then announced their plans on a professional national series to start in 2004 which I focused all my energy on and knew that was the next step.
