Calvin Wan
C.Wan has been involved in motorsports since 1996 with experience in drag racing, autocrossing, rallycrossing, motorcycles, road racing, endurance racing, time attacks and drifting. His first exposure to drifting was through Japanese car videos from the mid nineties. As a self taught drifter, he has been involved with organized drifting since 2002 and has been a drifting instructor as well as a drift competition judge for various drifting organizations over the years. He has competed in both Formula Drift and D1 Grand Prix since the conception of series in the United States. C.Wan has been a Falken Motorsport Works driver since 2003 and has been competing in various Falken Team Cars.
In 2005, Calvin became the first driver in the history of Formula Drift to win in an import car in the Falken Infiniti G35. He is a SAG member and was one of the stunt drivers from the Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift movie. He is also the author of the Calvin Wan’s Performance Drifting Handbook published by Motorbooks International. From becoming one the first US D1 Grand Prix drivers in 2003, to become the first driver to write a book about drifting, C.Wan is considered one of the pioneers in the sport of drifting.
