Biography

In 2016, at the age of 19, Simen acquired his initial drift car—a Nissan Skyline ER34 outfitted with a 2jz engine. His journey into competitive drifting began in 2017, a notable year where he and his team secured second place in the final round of the Norwegian Drift Cup in the pro2 class. The following year, Simen upgraded to a more formidable Toyota Mk4 Supra, equipped with a 900hp 2jz engine, signaling a step up in his competitive ambitions.

From 2017 to 2020, Simen amassed numerous podium finishes and distinguished himself at various events, including Gatebil, Iron Drift King, and the Norwegian Drift Championship. During the off-season between 2020 and 2021, Simen and his team embarked on pioneering a Toyota GR Supra drift car. This endeavor, alongside their accumulated achievements, facilitated Simen's entry into the Formula Drift Pro series in 2021. He concluded the season ranked 15th overall and was celebrated as Rookie of the Year. However, 2022 presented challenges in the Formula Drift series, with mechanical issues hindering his performance, culminating in a 24th place overall finish.

Despite these setbacks, he achieved his best result to date with a fourth-place finish in RD7 in Utah. Meanwhile, in Norway, his success was unparalleled, clinching first place at the Gatebil Drift Battle - Battle of Rudskogen, marking his most significant victory in his drifting career. In 2023, Simen joined the esteemed Odi Bakchis and Feal Suspension Race Team for the Formula Drift season. This partnership, driven by unwavering dedication, resulted in three podium finishes and an impressive fourth-place finish overall in the championship. Simen was also honored as the most improved driver of the year.

His achievements extended to Norway, where he secured a second-place overall finish in the Norwegian Drift Championship. Between 2017 and 2023, Simen and his team celebrated 15 podium finishes. Looking forward to 2024, Simen continues his collaboration with the Feal Suspension Race Team, aiming for the pinnacle of success in the championship.Between 2017 and 2023, Simen and his team celebrated 15 podium finishes.
