Jack Shanahan’s racing journey began at just 10 years old in hot rod competition, where he quickly developed a natural feel for rear-wheel-drive machinery and car control. Drawn to the art of drifting, he progressed under the guidance of close friend and mentor James Deane, rapidly establishing himself as one of the most exciting talents to emerge from Ireland. After earning his professional licence, Jack secured multiple international victories, including a standout championship win in 2021 with a new team and chassis—proof of his adaptability and raw ability.
In 2025, Jack made his highly anticipated debut in the Formula Drift Championship, taking on the best drivers in the world. Delivering an exceptional rookie campaign, he finished 6th overall and claimed the Rookie of the Year title, immediately marking himself as a serious contender. Heading into the 2026 season, Jack hopes to build on that momentum with his sights firmly set on podiums and championship success as he continues to establish himself among the elite of global drifting.
