Karl "Wasabi" Osaki has had a passion for cars and all forms of racing since he was just a little wasabi. One day Karl came across the sport of drifting, and his fate was sealed. He was going to spend every minute, and every dollar he had in devotion to this newfound passion. Karl began drifting in 2005, shortly after getting his driver's license. With his first car, a Nissan 240SX, he would learn how to drift in parking lots, canyon roads, and at local Southern California racetracks. With dozens of amateur practice events under his belt, Karl decided to take it to the next level and enter into the world of competitive drifting. In his first year of ProAm competition he was able to finish third place overall in the Just Drift Top Drift series. Karl is entering the 2014 Formula DRIFT series in hopes of redeeming himself from his very unlucky 2013 rookie year. He plans on using his aggressive driving style and almost psychotic lack of fear to set him apart from the rest. Karl has his sights set on Top 16 level competition and maybe even battle for the top podium spot.
