Alec is an 18-year-old High School Senior entering his rookie year in Formula DRIFT but he is no stranger to racing. He has been involved in all kinds of racing since he was 4 years old but Drift is his real passion.
Alec earned his Formula Drift pro license by winning 1st Place in the 2013 Streetwise Drift Pro Am Series with a 102-point lead after a podium finish at each event.
He started off racing BMX and Motocross earning 2 Tri-State Motocross Championships and over 100 podium finishes. A couple of his MX buddies talked him into racing Jet skis and he won 1st Place in the IJSBA World Championship, three 1st Place APBA National Championships and two 1st Place UWP National Championships racing watercraft by the age of 16. He was also the youngest racer to earn a pro license in the sport.
After racing Legends Cars, TAG Karts and Champ Karts he attended a local drift event and was hooked. He trained at Willow Springs with Formula DRIFT veterans Taka Aono and Justin Pawlak. Since then he has been fortunate to practice with Pat Goodin, Chelsea Denofa and Jeremy Lowe here in Florida. Alec will get the chance to realize his dream of competing in Formula Drift this year!
