- I got into drifting before I even knew what it was. I had just bought my ae86 back in 1998 and got sideways out of the dealer. It basically went down hill from there. I actually didn’t find out what drifting really was until about 2001 when I got to see some Options and ae86 club video’s from japan. Up until then I had just been doing a bunch of auto-x, go karts, and some race schools. Living in Florida means we are a year or too behind the scene compared to the west coast, but once it hit it seamed to catch on very quickly. Over the next 3 years I bought a 240 and started to build it into a competition worthy vehicle. Then in early 2006 I went to the very first Formula D feeder events and got my licence as a privateer in the San Diego event.
