Well, I am actually writing this latest entry as I am now back in LA after a 20 hour trek back across the Pacific from Singapore. I took quite a bit of video on the final day in Sing so I will be working on a small video blog that will hopefully encapsulate the competition and the dominant win by Malaysia’s Tenku Djan. Here are a few pics from our last day and a cool vid of our sound guy singing some GNR. This guy was pretty epic. He told us he was a lounge singer so of course we were provoking him to belt out some choons all day. Guy had a wicked good voice.

Till next time..

So, we are entering day 4 here in Singapore, which for the U.S. boys is really day 6 when you consider the traveling and what not. My slowly diminishing number of photos in comparison to the other days is a direct reflection of the event days getting crazier and us getting more tired. The feeling of being here in this amazing country is slowly being taken over by the fact that when we get back to our hotels and hit the pillow, it’s an extremely quick fade to black operation.

That being said, today is game day and we have seen some really good drifting. This track is very challenging for the drivers as it has a little bit of World Championship, a little bit of Long Beach and a little bit of Atlanta all in the same track as Andy and I were talking about yesterday. Our number 1 qualifier was Miki but Djan is showing signs that he is not messing around either. His first qualifying run was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen pretty much ever, but he just could not quite pull off the angle and had to settle for a more conservative second run.

Anyway, should be a great day!

Reserved tickets will be available online starting Thursday, February 26 for Round 1: Streets of Long Beach on April 10 and 11. The season opener will feature the world debut of new drift cars, new and returning drivers, and lots more.

“Formula DRIFT is excited to enter its sixth season of competition and we have a lot of new things in store for the fans,” said Jim Liaw, co-founder and president of Formula DRIFT. “We are proud to present the world debut of new competition vehicles at Long Beach including the 2010 Ford Mustang driven by Vaughn Gittin, Jr., the 2010 Dodge Challenger driven by 2-time Formula DRIFT champion, Samuel Hubinette, and the 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe driven by World Champion and Formula DRIFT champion, Rhys Millen. Grandstands 16 and 18 have been expanded this season to give more fans the best view of the action.
